Innovation

Innovation happens when there is a shift in perception. But once you see something differently, your perception expands: it is not a physical change, but a transformation of conception that allows other possibilities to arise. This shift occurs when material and immaterial meet – when visions bloom after an encounter, or beliefs dramatically change thanks to a certain experience. Innovation is connected to ephemerality and, because of their mutable nature, to the energy of the five elements.

Having a garden to live in inside the house, for instance, is a way to create an opening that is actual as it is metaphorical, a space where looking outside becomes an allegory. It is an idea that introduces new paths to appreciate immaterial forms of expression, such as those deriving from our senses, emotions, and those natural energies that bring life into the world. In constant motion and with a fluid character, intangible forces have the power to give architecture the living quality of nature: while you cannot quite control them, you have the chance to embrace them and listen to their rhythm.
